The project is designed in the building of a classic socialist house in Španá Dolina, which is undergoing reconstruction. It is the intersection of history and the modern world that becomes the basis of the entire design.

The inspiration comes from the exterior design - specifically from the prismatic cladding on the facade and the gable roof, which is rather atypical for this type of house. These two things became the main idea of ​​the entire interior. The slope of the roof literally enters the interior and transforms into the structure of the library. So what you see from the outside as the shape of the roof, you see the same inside as furniture/structure.

The entire interior is built from this one intersection. The same prismatic elements are repeated everywhere as structural details for several pieces of furniture. Always the same principle, always a different function. This creates two interconnected rooms that form the heart of the house and at the same time "all" of these layers meet here.

The lower floor is social — for meetings, workshops, and informal evenings. The upper floor is private — rooms for those who stay.

The project doesn’t show how to get rid of the past. It shows how to make something out of it.
