The FLOW dental clinic premises are located in the former building of the Ozeta clothing factory in Trenčín. Our intention, with the consent of the investor, was to create a modern and timeless interior of a medical facility that would differentiate itself from the competition by using timeless elements and accents in the interior, in which the patient would enjoy waiting for dental treatment. The entire interior had to be re-arranged in such a way as to create different communication zones. We looked for inspiration in organic shapes, which we applied in several expressive elements, from which the name of the FLOW dental clinic also derives. The most striking elements in the interior are the use of curves in the interior on the ceiling with backlighting, on the walls, or the color division of the cast floor intended for a medical facility. Another dominant feature is the reception desk, made of symmetrically divided grids, which is complemented by LED backlighting and decorative squeegees. The clinic space consists of 4 separate surgeries, which we separated by using special acoustic glass partitions that illuminate the entire space. The X-ray room is lined with chipboard cladding using a rounded corner and an integrated door in the wall. We also used doors with hidden door frames in the clinic premises, which have a minimalistic effect. An essential element in the interior is the use of ambient and direct lighting, which creates a pleasant atmosphere in the entire space. We have not forgotten the social facilities and the surgeries themselves, in which the emphasis is also placed on functionality and aesthetics. By using a combination of tiles and decorative squeegees together with ambient lighting, we have created a pleasant sanitary facility. We believe that with the help of interior design and the great attitude of young doctors, patients will lose their fear of treatment.
