Pri návrhu konceptu MÄD sme vychádzali z požiadavky vytvorenia priestoru alternatívnej predajne vín s možnosťou usporadúvať komorné degustačné večery naturálneho vína s jednoduchým fine-diningom. V neposlednom rade mal vzniknúť priestor na uskladnenie a prezentovanie dostatočného počtu naturálnych vín, na ktoré sa koncept MÄD špecializuje.
Na relatívne malej ploche sme efektívne rozložili nevyhnutné priestorové zariadenie a schému, ktorá nás zbavuje zbytočností. Priestor je otvorený a vyčistený. Vytvorili sme dostatočný počet miest na sedenie, ako aj priestor prípravy či servírovania a zároveň technické zázemie s hygienou. Na malej ploche ďalej pracujeme zámerne s umelým svetlom, s rôznou materialitou drevenej dyhy a jej morením ako aj s nerezou a jej reflexiou.
Nad celým priestorom centrálne levituje autorsky navrhnuté svietidlo z guľových svetelných zdrojov. Svietidlo je stmievateľné a umožňuje tak zámerne pracovať s atmosférou. Pod svietidlom sú dva veľké stoly pre návštevníkov ako centrálny motív spoločného stolovania či degustovania. Ďalším hlavným dominujúcim prvkom je po celej dĺžke priestoru umiestnená veľká polica pre uskladnenie a prezentovanie všetkých vín otočená priamo do výkladu, resp. vstupu priestoru. Polica sa v zadnej časti, v úrovni prípravného pultu, mení na súčasť zázemia a prípravy. Pult je na vrchnej časti drevený, morený do pretrolejovej modrej a spodná konštrukcia v rovnakej farbe z ocele. Za pultom sme umiestnili zábarie a stenu z nerezovej ocele ako trvácny a tvrdý element, ktorý svojim sekundárnym odrazom svetla vytvára kulisu celej scéne prípravy jedla.

When designing the MÄD concept, we started from the requirement to create a space for an alternative wine shop with the possibility of organizing intimate natural wine tasting evenings with simple fine-dining. Last but not least, space was to be created to store and present a sufficient number of natural wines, which the MÄD concept specializes in.
On a relatively small area, we have effectively laid out the necessary spatial equipment and a scheme that rids us of unnecessary things. The space is open and cleaned. We have created a sufficient number of seats, as well as a preparation or serving area, as well as technical facilities with hygiene. On a small surface, we continue to work deliberately with artificial light, with different materiality of wood veneer and its staining, as well as with stainless steel and its reflection.
An author's designed lamp from spherical light sources levitates centrally above the entire space. The lamp is dimmable and thus allows you to deliberately work with the atmosphere. Under the lamp there are two large tables for visitors as a central motif for joint dining or tasting. Another main dominating element is a large shelf located along the entire length of the space for storing and presenting all wines, facing directly into the display, or space entry. The shelf in the back part, at the level of the preparation counter, turns into a part of the background and preparation. The top part of the counter is wooden, stained in petrol blue, and the lower structure is made of steel in the same color. Behind the counter, we placed a backbar counter and a wall made of stainless steel as a durable and hard element, which with its secondary reflection of light creates a backdrop for the entire scene of food preparation.
